Sonia Mbele's Heartfelt Revelation: When Biltong Trumps Baby Essentials

Sonia Mbele recently opened up about a challenging experience involving her son's father during an enlightening podcast interview at King David Studio. Though she didn't disclose his name, the renowned 'Blood and Water' actress revealed that she was in a relationship with him for a substantial nine years.

The incident in question occurred at a grocery store in Mellville while Sonia was in the midst of purchasing essential items for her nine-month-old son. In the midst of filling her basket with various baby goods, she found herself in a rather unexpected encounter with her son's father.

While waiting in line to pay for the necessities, Sonia heard her name being called out. Much to her surprise, her ex-partner approached her but instead of offering to contribute towards the baby items, he casually inquired about her presence at the shop. Rather than expressing concern or willingness to support, he glanced at her trolley, then proceeded to head to the cigarette counter.

Much to Sonia's disappointment, he returned with a brown paper bag containing biltong. With a firm refusal, she remarked, "You can keep it." The actress emphasized the irony, noting that her son was a mere nine months old and did not even have teeth at the time, rendering the biltong quite irrelevant.

The podcast snippet concluded with Sonia expressing her frustration with a simple, "Black men!" as she took a sip of water. This candid revelation sheds light on the struggles faced by single parents, particularly when it comes to securing basic necessities for their children, and highlights the need for support and understanding in such situations.
